Marina Luccioni – 2026 Wonderfest Science Envoy

Marina Luccioni is a PhD candidate at Stanford University. She researches human and environmental health, specifically how organisms come to contain and accumulate neurotoxins, and the ways their molecules interact with human neural function to produce altered mental states. Her projects interface knowledge from local, indigenous, and conventional academic sources. Outside the lab, Marina is co-chair of the San Mateo MPA Collaborative Network, and she leads naturalist tours with the Friends of Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.
