Lawrence Man – 2026 Wonderfest Science Envoy

Lawrence Man is a PhD candidate in the Vision Science program at UC Berkeley. His research focuses on pathological changes that occur in the retina caused by blinding diseases like retinal degeneration, particularly studying what triggers residual neurons to behave abnormally, with the goal of preventing further vision loss. Outside of the lab, Lawrence enjoys travelling, hiking, and snowboarding.
