Matthew Walker is Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is also founder and director of the Center for Sleep Science. Walker is known globally for his research on the impact of sleep on human health.
 
As the “Sleep Diplomat,” Matt Walker has appeared in numerous media reports of sleep’s importance (60 Minutes, PBS, NPR, Joe Rogan, etc.). His book, Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams (2017), is a New York Times bestseller, and has been translated into 34 languages.
