Jenni Serrano Rojas – 2025 Wonderfest Science Envoy
Jenni Serrano Rojas is a PhD student at Stanford University. Her research focuses on how amphibians are responding to global change, particularly the mechanisms of response to anthropogenic climate change and land use change in the Peruvian Amazon. She uses amphibians as her model species, with a particular emphasis on poison frogs due to their diverse behaviors and broad distribution. During her fieldwork, she trains undergraduate biology students from her hometown of Cusco in innovative methods and collaborates closely with local communities. Jenni is deeply committed to increasing the involvement of local researchers in science and advancing amphibian conservation in Peru.
