Wonderfest Science Envoy 2020

Eliza Kosoy is a second-year PhD student at UC Berkeley working with Prof. Alison Gopnik. She works in the intersections of artificial intelligence and child development. In collaboration with Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research (BAIR) she is interested in how children’s ability to learn quickly can inform machine learning algorithms. One example includes studying children’s intrinsic curiosity in various environments created for testing artificial agents. Before coming to UC Berkeley she worked with Prof. Josh Tenenbaum and Prof. Laura Schulz at MIT and Prof. Liz Spelke at Harvard. She is also very passionate about getting young girls into programming.
