Ashley Moses – 2025 Wonderfest Science Envoy

Ashley Moses is a PhD Candidate in Neuroscience at Stanford University interested in understanding how our environment and brain interact to inform our behavior. To study this, she looks through the lens of neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that carry information between cells in the brain. Ashley is particularly interested in an understudied neurotransmitter, histamine, as she believes this mysterious molecule could provide incredible insight into the functions of our brain. Outside of lab, she runs a science communication nonprofit called The Civilian, likes to spend a ton of time outdoors, and enjoys experimenting with cooking in the kitchen.
