Therese LaRue is a PhD candidate studying plant biology at Stanford. Her research focuses on understanding the spatial arrangement of plant root systems in soil using a new imaging technology called GLO-roots, which involves luminescent roots! Even when not in the lab, she spends her time taking care of plants and gardening.
