Mila Pamplona-Barbosa – 2024 Wonderfest Science Envoy

Mila Pamplona-Barbosa is a PhD student at the Laboratory of Organismal Biology and the Gordon Lab at Stanford University. She studies circadian rhythms in ants, observing their behavior and neurophysiology. As a Brazilian, Mila advocates for initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in science. She also hosts a podcast in Portuguese about science, academia, and our daily lives, called Charlando. In her free time, Mila enjoys playing the drums, reading, and playing with her cats.
