Erin Person – 2022 Wonderfest Science Envoy
Erin Person is a PhD candidate in the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at UC Berkeley, where she is advised by Eileen Lacey. She studies the social behavior of a wild population of California ground squirrels to better understand the consequences of sociality. During her undergrad days at the University of Michigan, she was excited to learn one could make a career out of watching animals, and she’s been a passionate field scientist ever since. She enjoys sharing her love of wildlife with the public, and hopes to teach others how to view the natural world with informed curiosity.
