Abigail Polin

Abigail Polin is a NSF graduate research fellow studying in the Physics and Astronomy Departments at the University of California, Berkeley. Before starting her PhD she received a BS in Physics from New York University. Abigail’s research interests focus on modeling astrophysical transients using numerical techniques. Her goal is to predict the outcome of these explosions and determine what their signatures will look like when we observe them from earth. Outside of research, Abigail is interested in scientific communication and outreach as a means to increase the representations of women and minorities in STEM.
