Neil Khosla
2021 Science Envoy
Neil Khosla spent the first 20 years of his life trying to diagnose himself with a variety of rare psychiatric disorders. In his 21st year, Neil realized that his hypochondriac tendencies were simply the manifestation of a repressed desire to study psychology. Now, as a PhD student in the Department of Biology at Stanford University, he studies the neurobiology of social behaviors, with a focus on neural circuits that facilitate cooperation. When he is not in the lab, Neil spends his time writing, playing music, and reading.
