Meredith Wieber

Meredith Wieber is a 5th year PhD student in the physics department at UC Berkeley. She studies the drivers of particle acceleration in solar flares using X-ray and radio observations. She is also assisting in the development of a gamma-ray imaging and polarimetry instrument for solar flares at the Space Sciences Laboratory, including the characterization of its semiconductor detector suite. In her free time, she sews costumes and clothes, reads fantasy novels, and enjoys time outside.
